ASPHALT PAVING AND REPAIRING

OUR ASPHALT SERVICES

New Asphalt Paving

New Asphalt Paving

As part of a complete tear-out and pave, or a new construction project, ProTech professionals can handle your asphalt paving projects of any size. Withwork with experienced project managers and crews that are mindful of your schedule and operations.

Asphalt Overlay

Asphalt Overlay

An asphalt overlay is a paving method that applies a new layer of asphalt to a surface that is deteriorating. Instead of completely tearing up the old surface, an overlay project will use existing layers as a base for the new asphalt pavement.

Asphalt Patching

Asphalt Patching

A cost effective asphalt repair method for repairing depressions, base failures or potholes. Patching can be a thin, “surface patch” or a full depth “deep patch”.

Cracks Sealing

Crack Sealing

Asphalt crack sealing is hands down, the single most important maintenance activity performed on asphalt pavements. It prevents distress in the asphalt caused by the intrusion of water. Failing to perform crack filling maintenance can cause cracks to become potholes and potholes to become craters in no time.

Seal Coating

Seal Coating

Sealcoating is the process of spraying a special black coating on top of asphalt, providing a layer of protection from the elements. Sealcoating replenishes the oils in asphalt that have dried up over time, and restores your pavement’s original flexibility. It also bonds compacted or crack-sealed asphalt, holding it together and creating a watertight seal

Concrete Repair & Maintenance

Concrete Repair & Maintenance

Over time, the elements may begin to wear on your infrastructure, causing it to lose strength. ProTech professionals understand the different types of concrete damage that may occur as well as the various causes of each.

Crack Fill & Seal

Crack Fill & Seal

There are many different reasons why cracks appear on concrete slabs. Some cracks are unavoidable, forming as a natural part of the curing process after a new pour; others may be caused by extreme hot & cold environments that cause concrete to expand or contract; they can also form when the steel reinforcements in the slab begin to corrode or if you simply overload the concrete by exceeding its weight capacity.

ProTech professionals exercise proper crack filling and sealing techniques in order to maintain the integrity of the slab.

Expansion Joint Fill & Seal

Expansion Joint Fill & Seal

The condition of expansion joints throughout your concrete slab can begin to deteriorate over the years. ProTech professionals fill expansion joints with foam backer rods and seal them with a self-leveling joint sealant, prolong the life of your concrete slab, protecting your investment & infrastructure.

Concrete Leveling

Concrete Leveling

The flat leveling of your concrete slab or foundation is dependent on the condition of the “subgrade” or soil underneath. Without adequate subgrade support, your slab may crack under stress or simply sink into the void.

When you call a ProTech specialist, an experienced project manager will survey the conditions of your concrete infrastructure to determine the best course of action. Our professionals determine whether the concrete will need to be raised by way of mudjacking or simply grinded down; or perhaps a combination of both.

Concrete Full Depth Repair

Concrete Full Depth Repair

When areas of your concrete slab have experienced complete structural failure such as deeply rooted cracks or potholes, the only sensible solution may be to tear it out and re-pour. At this point, the elements have already compromised the concrete, doing irreversible damage and the soil or subgrade underneath will most likely need repairs as well.

When you call a ProTech professional, a specialist will come out to your location and begin marking the perimeter of failed areas. Once the scope of repair has been defined, they will saw-cut to a minimum depth of 6”. The failed pavement is then excavated and removed. Reinforcing steel is set and concrete is poured with a broom finish. Lastly, the perimeters of the repaired areas are always sealed with a water-tight joint sealant.
